Ford Saeks: Social Trust & How to Build it!

We recently saw a video from one of our most requested franchise keynote speakers, Ford Saeks, on video testimonials. It’s super tactical—the how-to, the when to and the how do I best utilize them. We thought we’d pass it along—feel free to send it along to any interested franchisees.

Here are a few highlights from the video (but make sure to watch the video itself—it’s quick and includes more practical and tactical information):

An Easy Way for Your Franchisees to Build Social Proof and Trust.

Testimonials, not just written testimonials, but capturing video testimonials from your customers are particularly valuable. This applies to all business models and industries, whether delivering the product or service in person, a retail exchange or shipping products.

Why are testimonials so important?

Because people trust their friends and what they see more than they trust your advertisements or your promotions. Most of you have probably captured testimonials, maybe in print, but there are many different types of testimonials.  Your reviews on Google, Yelp or Angie’s List are also testimonials. Video testimonials are great because they engage more of the senses. People tend to believe what they see. We’re living in a video and mobile age. It works with their hearing, what they see and what they feel, depending upon how you’re conveying the testimonial online.

How Do I Get Video Testimonials?

Now, you may think that capturing video testimonial is difficult, but you already have all the tools. I guarantee, your cellphone’s probably real close to you, right? So, encourage you and your staff to use your cellphone to capture video testimonials from your customers.  Now here’s a key tip about video testimonials… Turn your phone horizontally so you’re capturing wide screen video (16×9) since that’s the main format for YouTube.
